Biography

Nicole Lewis joined EPI in March 2022 as deputy communications director. Lewis has over two decades of communications and project management experience including in Congress, where she worked as a staff assistant to former Senator Charles Robb (D-Va.), and at Lehman Brothers and Altria Client Services, where she provided communications and project management support to senior leadership in their efforts to build coalition and legislative support from the Congressional Black Caucus, Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and other advocacy organizations. She has also worked as a communications consultant on elections in the D.C. metro area. 

Lewis most recently spent six years at ConwayStrategic, a boutique public relations firm specializing in reproductive rights, labor, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy, developing communications strategy, messaging, social media and digital content, and email marketing campaigns that resulted in triple-digit growth in followers and engagement for the firm’s clients. 

Lewis is a Northern Virginia native, with one son, Jaden. She has a B.S. in finance and government and politics from the University of Maryland University College and did graduate work at Northwestern University and the University of the West Indies.
