EPI economist Heidi Shierholz is scheduled to testify before the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs on Economic Policy on Wed. June 25 at 3:30 p.m. in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room 538. The hearing is titled, “Dreams deferred: Young workers and recent graduates in the U.S. economy.”
Ms. Shierholz will discuss the labor market conditions that graduates and young workers are facing. And the long term implications of the overall economy for young Americans. He will refer to a study she wrote with Research Assistants Will Kimball and Alyssa Davis: The Class of 2014: The Weak Economy is Idling Too Many Young Graduates.
