On Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Eastern, the Economic Policy Institute will host a press call to discuss new data on union membership numbers for 2021 from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The press call will coincide with a new EPI report analyzing the BLS release showing union coverage by sector, demographic, and state. To RSVP, please email news@epi.org.

Polling data show that a huge share of workers want unions. However, there is a large gap between the share of workers with union representation and the share of workers who would like to have a union, showing the need to reform labor law to remove barriers to organizing.
