Financial crisis felt in job market

Today’s weak jobs report and downward revisions of prior reports “provide the first solid evidence that economic turmoil in financial markets has found its way into the job market,” said EPI senior economist Jared Bernstein.  His full analysis in today’s  JOBS PICTURE  also explains that, in spite of job losses, the unemployment rate stayed the same because there were fewer job seekers.
