Proposed NSD spending levels dangerously low

The budget proposals by President Obama, the Bowles-Simpson commission and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan would all cut the non-security discretionary (NSD) budget to unprecedented low levels that would likely result in devastation to our nation’s vital services. Today’s Snapshot shows that the plans would reduce NSD spending to levels dangerously below historical norms.
