News from EPI Lynn Rhinehart joins EPI as senior fellow

Lynn Rhinehart has joined EPI as a senior fellow, where she will work on labor and employment policy issues, with an emphasis on collective bargaining.

“I am delighted to welcome Lynn to EPI,” said EPI President Thea Lee. “Lynn has dedicated her career to fighting for working families, and we are pleased to have her continue that work here—ensuring that Congress and policymakers put the needs of America’s workers front and center.”

Rhinehart spent more than 20 years at the AFL-CIO, where she retired as General Counsel in 2018. Previously, she served as a staff member for the Senate Subcommittee on Labor, chaired by Senator Howard Metzenbaum (D-Ohio) and clerked for the Honorable Joyce Hens Green of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.  She graduated magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center.

“EPI has always been at the forefront of advocating for policies that raise standards and give working people real bargaining power, and EPI’s research consistently demonstrates the importance of these policies to workers and our economy,” said Rhinehart. “I’m excited to be part of EPI’s efforts, especially now when there is a renewed interest in policies that restore power to America’s workers.”
