EPI immigration expert to discuss H-2B guest worker program’s impact on U.S. jobs and wages tomorrow


Economic Policy Institute immigration expert Daniel Costa will discuss the H-2B visa program’s impact on U.S. jobs and wages at an AFL-CIO Congressional briefing tomorrow, Friday, October 21.  The Congressional briefing will focus on the Labor Department’s recently-issued rule that would prohibit employers from legally underpaying American and H-2B immigrant workers.  Costa will join Ana Avendaño of the AFL-CIO, Mary Bauer of the Southern Poverty Law Center and Tonya Clay House of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
