Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 1, the Economic Policy Institute will host a seminar with University of California Hastings Law School Professor Joel Paul on the idea of a “race to the top” for labor and environmental standards in trade. Prorfessor Paul will make the case for trade policy that moves past typical debates and uses the economics of trade to push countries and corporations to improve standards voluntarily.
