At the Netroots Nation conference in St. Louis on Friday, July 15, EPI’s Richard Rothstein will present research on concentrated poverty and racial segregation as part of a panel discussion on the public policies that set the stage for the protests and racial tension in Ferguson, Missouri.
In the Washington Post, EPI’s Valerie Wilson wrote an op-ed on payday lending. Wilson noted that economic policies such as promoting full employment and raising the minimum wage would reduce the demand for payday loans.
