In his testimony, Mishel said actions such as raising the minimum wage to $12.50 by 2020, strengthening collective bargaining, updating overtime rules, and ending forced arbitration would accelerate wage growth. He also emphasized that ongoing wage stagnation cannot be offset by one-time reductions in personal taxes.
