As President Obama seeks to address the economic needs of the middle class, EPI data shows a longstanding pattern of economic policies that have benefited the wealthiest Americans at the expense of everyone else. More than one-third of all income growth since 1989 has gone to the top one-tenth of 1% of all earners.
