Research, not rhetoric, should inform the development of American labor policy. EPI’s findings clearly show that unionized firms are no more likely than nonunionized ones to fail; that the Employee Free Choice Act is a foundation of economic policy that fairly shares productivity gains with the people whose hard work created those gains; and that unions are a key engine for raising workers’ living standards.
