Note: This chart focuses on 21 high schools that had been phased out and closed and had reported full student outcome data between 2000, when the New York Department of Education announced the first school closings, and June 2009, when the Urban Youth Collaborative launched its study. The outcomes show what happened to the 32,961 students during the four years their school was being phased out.
