The JOBS Act will result in fewer, not more jobs

The Jobs, Opportunity, Benefits, and Services Act, introduced by Representative Dave Camp last week, would allow states to divert federal funds from unemployment benefits to other purposes.  In The JOBS Act will result in fewer, not more jobs, EPI Vice President Ross Eisenbrey and EPI economist Heidi Shierholz analyze the alternate ways states could spend the federal money and find that none of them would create as many jobs as the current system does.
