Adam Dean

Adam Dean is associate professor in the Department of Political Science at George Washington University. His research focuses on the political economy of international trade, labor politics, and the socioeconomic determinants of public health. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, his M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

He is the author of two books on international trade and labor politics: From Conflict to Coalition (2016) and Opening Up by Cracking Down (2022), both of which were published by Cambridge University Press. His research has been supported by the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, the Urban Institute, the Russell Sage Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health.
