{{1.}} All estimates are based upon direct-effect mulpliers for earnings and jobs (i.e. earning and jobs within each rail rolling stock company.) Vendor/subcontractor figures submitted in each proposal are not applied to the multipliers as doing so would double-count employment and job effects estimated by the direct-effect multipliers.
{{2.}} Earnings estimations reflect the total dollar change in earnings of households employed by all industries in LA region as a result of the direct earnings to (a) employees of each rail rolling stock company, the indirect earnings to (b) employees of supplier or vendor firms, and the induced earnings of employees in other regional businesses generated by the household spending of (a) and (b). Similarly, job estimates reflect the total change in FTE/new hires in all industries in the LA region as a result of the change in (a) direct jobs of each rail rolling stock company, (b) indirect jobs of supplier or vendor firms, and the induced jobs in other regional businesses generated by the household spending of (a) and (b).
{{3.}} The Siemen's proposal includes employment/earnings figures for manufacturing processes to take place at company's Sacramento location. As such, state-level effect estimates for these figures are included as well.
