News from EPI EPI to Host Presentation on the Greek Debt Crisis and Negotiations by James Galbraith

On Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 12:00 PM Eastern, the Economic Policy Institute and the AFL-CIO will co-host a presentation by James Galbraith, an economist and professor at the University of Texas–Austin, on the Greek debt crisis and what the outcome of the negotiations is likely to mean for the Greek and European economies. Galbraith will share his insights into why the negotiations between the Greek government and its creditors failed to produce a sustainable path out of crisis for Greece and future prospects for Greece and Europe. As a close observer of the Greek crisis and as a former colleague of Yanis Varoufakis, the Greek Finance Minister during the first half of 2015, Galbraith offers a unique analysis of the Greek debt crisis.
