Cold weather chills job growth

Unusually frigid weather combined with the housing slump to keep job growth to a moderate 97,000, according to the analysis in today’s  Jobs Picture, by EPI senior economist Jared Bernstein.  Still, the job market remains tight and wage growth is solid.  Slower growth of hours worked, however, may be a harbinger of the economy’s direction as illustrated in the Jobs Picture graphic.
