Today, EPI Research and Policy Director Josh Bivens will testify before the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade at a hearing entitled “The Fed Turns 100: Lessons Learned over a Century of Central Banking” The hearing will use the Federal Reserve’s one-hundred year history to examine what has worked in monetary policy and what has not, and to evaluate the Federal Reserve’s role as lender of last resort.
