Jobs disappear at alarming rate
“The end of 2008 saw the fastest rate of job loss since the first quarter 1975,” said EPI economist Heidi Shierholz. EPI president Lawrence Mishel added, “We’re seeing a complete unraveling of the labor market and are on track for getting beyond 10% unemployment.”
