GDP keeps on braking

Led by the nation’s housing woes and a rising trade deficit, the pace of economic growth slowed in the first quarter of the year to just over that of the previous quarter. In EPI’s latest GDP Picture, economist Josh Bivens reviews the current numbers and the warning signs.
