On Friday, Economic Policy Institute (EPI) Vice President Ross Eisenbrey and Immigration Policy Analyst Daniel Costa submitted public comments to the U.S. Department of Labor on its proposed rule to modify the prevailing wage methodology for the H-2B guest worker program. EPI’s comments are supportive of the proposed regulatory changes but also outline ways in which the program could better protect the wages of U.S. workers. Eisenbrey also submitted public commentary in response to comments filed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, explaining that the proposed rule does not unduly burden small businesses.
