On Thursday, January 29 at 11:30 a.m. ET, the Economic Policy Institute, the Alliance for Justice, American Constitution Society and Center for American Progress will host a screening of the new documentary Lost in the Fine Print. Narrated by former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, the documentary focuses on forced arbitration—where a company imposes agreements, as a condition of employment or use of a service, where employees and consumers must waive their rights to sue and file appeals in court and must instead resolve their dispute through binding arbitration. Lost in the Fine Print tells the story of people trapped in the forced arbitration system and its effects on their lives, but also urges us to demand change and find solutions to this growing trend in employment and the marketplace.
A panel discussion with Nan Aron, President, Alliance for Justice, Paul Bland, Executive Director, Public Justice, Caroline Fredrickson, President, American Constitution Society, Robert Kuttner, Co-Founder and Co-Editor, The American Prospect and Brendan Crimmins, Partner, Kellogg Huber Handsen PLCC will follow the film.
