• Andrea Flynn, Roosevelt Institute Fellow, will moderate
• Larry Aber, Professor of Psychology and Public Policy at NYU, will open the panel with remarks on the safety net programs that prove most effective for young children
• Yolanda Minor, Early Childhood Coordinator at Save the Children in Mississippi, will provide insight to the challenges facing new mothers and the effectiveness of home visiting along with the need for additional resources
• Eric Rodriguez, Vice President of Research and Policy at National Council of La Raza, will describe the challenges accessing the safety net for immigrant families, a growing share of children in poverty
• Robert Greenstein, President of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, will outline the current state of the safety net and the priority funding areas
