Job market report -- partly cloudy, partly sunny

Last month’s better than expected job growth stands as a small patch of blue – as employers added 94,000 new jobs last month – amid the gathering clouds of the housing crunch, shrinking manufacturing employment, and high levels of long-term unemployment. In today’s Jobs Picture, EPI’s economic weatherman Jared Bernstein gives us his full analysis by placing this important indicator in the context of other positive and negative indicators.
