Job market declines, paychecks wither

As the job market hits the halfway point of 2008, EPI reports that the number of jobs in America has fallen every month this year. In today’s Jobs Picture, senior economist Jared Bernstein also looks at the fall of real earnings.  “Workers' paychecks are under attack from three sides: diminished jobs and hours, slower hourly wage growth, and faster price growth,” said Bernstein.
