Job market more unfriendly for newest college grads

When this year’s college grads knock on the door of the job market, they will get a much cooler reception than their predecessors did seven years ago, the beginning of the last recession.

In today’s Snapshot, Economic Policy Institute President Lawrence Mishel and economist Elise Gould show that for recent college graduates average hourly wages are lower now (after inflation adjustment) than in 2001, and employer-provided health care and pension coverage have become scarcer.
