Economic Analyst opening at the EARN project of the Economic Policy Institute
The Economic Analysis and Research Network (EARN) is a network of state and regional groups that sway public opinion, win state policy victories, and collectively develop ideas. EARN groups are multi-issue state and regional think tanks. They use the full range of advocacy tools: research and policy development, communications, lobbying, and serve as key partners in state coalitions. EARN works on many of EPI's issues – jobs, wages, retirement security; but has also grown to work with other progressive organizations on a variety of other issues ranging from health policy to the environment.
EARN staff at EPI provide leadership and support for EARN groups. We provide a variety of assistance, orchestrate collaborations, directly help in issue campaigns, and make connections among EARN groups and between EARN groups and national organizations.
There are currently 55 EARN groups in 41 states with 88% of the nation's population. Together EARN groups provide a substantial capacity.
The EARN team is looking to add a skilled economic researcher/analyst/advocate, to help state-based organizations advance a policy agenda in the states—one who brings strong research, quantitative, analytic and writing skills.
