A recent Wall Street Journal editorial criticizing President Obama’s tax policy led to an enlightening debate between economists on CNBC. EPI’s Research and Policy Director John Irons stressed that many of Obama’s critics also attacked the tax policies of President Clinton 16 years ago, only to witness a period of record economic growth.
